Monopoly
Players : 2 - 6 players
Recommended age : 8 & Up
Everybody remembers the Monopoly game - that's why it's still the most popular, most widely played, and best-selling board game in the world! Across the generations and around the globe, what other game brings back so many memories of wheeling-and-dealing family fun' No other game has turned so many game playing moments into memories!
The key to enjoying the game is the inter-player deals and politics. That's where all the fun lies, and much of the strategy. Any player can strike any kind of a deal with another player - want to trade all the purples and light blues for Boardwalk? No problem.
Want to trick someone into trading a property you need for all your railroads? This is where the real enjoyment comes from. I encourage you not only to get the game and play it, but to read the rules and "get into" the game.

Monopoly Junior edition
Players : 2 - 6 players
Recommended age : 5 - 8 years
Monopoly Jr. is big-time fun for everyone! You have to have a strategy involved (if you don't play by rules included with the game). Properties are bought and there are a lot of money transactions. It's simple--set up ticket booths on as many boardwalk amusements as possible, then build your fortune collecting the entrance fees as other players land on your properties.
If someone else already owns an amusement, you pay up. Watch out--if one player owns both amusements of the same color, you must pay them double!
The major differences this junior version with the adult version are that the game is set up as an amusement park, the money denominations are a lot smaller so it's easier for the children to manage, the board is also smaller. It only takes much less time to play monopoly junior about 20-30 minutes to finish one game.
Anyway, Monopoly Junior is a really fun game for young children to play. It helps kids learn to take turns, follow directions, and learn basic counting skills. In many ways the game is just like Monopoly. The goal is to end the game with the most money. at Amazon.com

Pictionary Jr
Players : 3 or more players
Recommended age : 7 – 12 years
Sixty seconds! That's all the time you've got to draw a raccoon, pizza, or bowling ball. Pictionary Junior is the fun-filled game where clues are sketched and teammates have to quickly guess the word. Each card also has a theme that gives a hint to the word being sketched. You don't have to be an artist to play - all you need is a little imagination and a fast pencil!
There are 144 two-sided cards. The red side is more challenging, and the blue side is easier--for younger players. Both include a theme to be read aloud and start everyone thinking on track. Teams go head-to-head to guess the word their "picturist" draws within 60 seconds. How fast can you draw an apple pie, an eyebrow, or a coin? It takes a quick hand and good guesswork to move around the game board from start to finish before the other team. A timer and easy-to-read instructions are included.
